The Sorting Hat Thread

Dizzy walked amongst the first years after getting off of the Hogwarts express, then boarding some boats to cross the great lake of Hogwarts. He was amazed at the size of the school, hoping and wondering if he would get lost and make any new friends while he spent his time at Hogwarts. After making their way off of the boats and crowding before a door after climbing many step's,and waiting for a few moment's listening to the excited chatter amongst the other first year's, they were ushered into a large room with the rest of the school population.

He gasped in amazement at the ceiling which looked like it had an open feeling with floating candles. He knew it was bewitchment but it left his mind as he looked around him seeing the student body. He knew the school was large but wasn't expecting it to be this large with the 4 house table's, and they looked like they could accommodate even more students to fill them up.

His attention was diverted to the headmistress, who stood up and took position at the podium gathering everyone's attention over the enthusiastic chattering of the first years and other student's.

"Welcome to Hogwarts!" She proclaimed, her voice above all other noises. She tapped the stand with her wand and pulled out a list. "I will call each student, one at a time to be sorted by the sorting hat!"

He watched the headmistress take out the parchment and wondered how far his name on the list would be, as he watched her call out the first name and the first student to go up and see which house they were chosen to be in.

Dizzy breathed in and out as his name was called biting the inside of his lip as he made his way through the small crowd of first year's up to where a stool was positioned beside the head mistress. He was nervous and it somewhat showed as he scratched his hand and his ear in nervousness as he made his way up. He looked out amongst the student body and tried counting them to calm himself down. He sat down on the stool and waited for the sorting hat to fall on top of his head and then began wondering himself where he wouldbe sent to.

Dizzy sighed and slumped his shoulder's in relief as he made his way off of the stool and towards the Hufflepuff table with a small smile on his face. He took a seat after getting his hand shaken and a few claps on his shoulder's, took a seat and paid attention to the other first years being sorted.

Raymond strolled in among the first years after being attacked on the Hogwarts express, then boarding some boats to cross the great lake of Hogwarts. After making their way off of the boats and crowding before a door after hiking up what seemed like a million steps, and waiting for a few moment's listening to the excited chatter amongst the other first year's, Which Ray didn’t understand he had to admit that this place was amazing but isn’t this place just a school they were ushered into a large room with the rest of the school.

He entered the great hall and he saw the floating candles, the large student body and an even larger table. Ray guessed that it must’ve cost a fortune to own the castle and have upkeep. Ray wondered if there was a cleaning staff or did students clean up after each other.

His attention was diverted to the headmistress, who stood up and took position at the podium gathering everyone's attention over the enthusiastic chattering of the first years and other student's. Then he heard her begin calling names and a hat saying Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. “Wait… a hat!” Raymond was dumbfounded. He still didn’t fully believe in magic. He just decided to let it go and wait for his name to be called.

Raymond moved to the chair and moved to the chair. Raymond didn't question why the lady didn't know his last name it was something Ray had gotten use to. He guessed that somethings whether wizard or human world will stay the same. He sat down in the chair and waited for the sorting hat to touch his head.

Takao moved into the room of sorting hats he noticed that one boy. He walked to an nearby chair and sat down. Waiting for his name to be called he watched the headminnister call out names. But Takao couldn't keep his eyes off the boy he felt like the boy would be an excellent rival. Takao pulled out a piece of paper he pulled out a pencil and wrote Takao got up and left the room not looking back at the boy. The paper said:''Takao Fanaka a PureBlood of the Griffyndor. From this day on you will be my rival I'll help your back with you helping mine.''

Raymond got up from his chair. He was excited he got into one of the biggest houses in the school. Hufflepuff. From what he learned about hufflepuff they are known for valuing loyalty over all else. That fit him perfectly so he went and sat down with the other hufflepuffs who were cheering.

Karu walked in as he had heard, this was the place to get your hat. Karu looked around in a shy temple where he looked at the head master, "OLD WOMAN!" he cried out. Karu dropped on his bottom to the floor looking at the woman. "WITCH!!!" he shouted. Karu then noticed that SHE was the head master. Karu got up dusting the dirt from his clothes, "Um sorry about that...I'm Karu Nikali..First Year..Aiming for..." Karu then looked as there was a amazing amount of students there. Karu scratched his head as he made a quick sigh, it seemed he had ruined his first expression.

Ren was waiting among the other first years. She already met a few in the train and now she could see the entire group of her year. She also saw a rather old woman. The old woman who appeared to be the headmistress called a few students already and Dizzy was first, and sorted in Hufflepuff! heard another boy calling her old woman and a witch. She looked at him with a look that said 'that was uncalled for!' She would be called for in due time. She knew it for sure, but could not help about being nervous. Never before in life she was this nervous.

Siovannie was standing with the first years, nervously looking at the headmistress and the sorting hat. She was curious what house she would get sorted in, but was nervous as well. She wasn't looking forward to putting the hat on, having the whole school stare at her. When she saw Dizzy get sorted in hufflepuff, she clapped with the rest of the school. She looked as other students got sorted, and kept getting even more nervous. When would her name be called? She hoped it'd be soon, she couldn't take the suspense.

Roughton stood with the other first years, as he waited to be sorted into a house by the Sorting Hat. He didn't really care what house he would be put in, though he assumed he would be put in Slytherin like his mother and father before him. He waited patiently for his name to be called.

It didn’t matter too much to her about which house she was placed in. Sherry would still make the best of any status, she had. In her heart though the young witch was hoping for Gryffindor or Slytherin, she was never a scholar nor did she heavily practice the values of a Hufflepuff. Loyalty only mattered to those who you care for. A bum off the street meant nothing, if you didn’t know them, so take what you can…be damned the consequences.

Impressed with the sparkling stars that shined on the horizon of the Great Hall, Sherry sat quietly. She would be waiting for her chance to site under the hat. Which she had to admit was quite impressive magic.

Maybie93 was standing alone. Professor McGonagall called her name and and she stood up to the platform where the Hat stood. She looked shy and nervous.
